Job Summary

This role leads a regional Financial Services Team responsible for back-end settlement transactions and reporting for multiple service projects, ensuring contractual compliance. The manager will inspire, coach, and develop team members, manage regional objectives, and maintain strong relationships with customers, third-party clearers, and internal engineering teams. Key responsibilities include supporting bids, providing cost estimates, acting as a financial services subject matter expert, interpreting data for financial reporting, and managing budgets. The position requires substantial decision-making authority and a focus on continuous improvement.

Must Have

Company Details:

This role is responsible for leading a regional Financial Services Team who are responsible for all back-end settlement transactions and the reporting of these tasks for multiple service projects. The role is responsible for ensuring that all functions within the regional Financial Services team are completed to contractual compliance. Engagement with internal and external stakeholders to seek continuous improvement is key to the success of the role. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision–making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day people management responsibility for a team of Cubes. Inspire, coach, and develop them to succeed, with co-responsibility for their engagement, delivery, and performance in the role.
  • Manage a regional team and maintain responsibility for multiple service projects each with their own requirements. Coordinate global workshare activities and regional objectives. Ensure regional service requirements and SLAs/KPIs are met.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and third-party credit card clearing and acquirer relationships and external business partners.
  • Manage relationships with engineering and product teams to ensure project requirements are implemented in the toolset and operational improvements or issues are addressed.
  • Support bids, demos, and new product development. Provide cost estimates for proposals.
  • Be the subject matter expert for the financial services delivering financial statements and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Interpret data, analyze results using financial reporting techniques, and assist in producing ongoing as-needed reports to meet client and/or business needs.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge repository, documentation, and security matrix for and associated applications. Manage and develop processes and streamline current/new operations.
  • Experience with current computing technologies and software applications such as specialized Business Intelligence software, SQL query language, Oracle, SharePoint, and other database applications. Power BI, Tableau, and SQL Reporting Services experience preferred.
  • Management of budget and direct headcount within the regional team. Monitor local indirect expenses preparing variance analysis for controller.
  • Coordinate status meetings and produces progress reports for all regional projects. Identifies appropriate metrics to measure process efficiency and accuracy.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or related discipline

Desirable:

  • Payment industry and processing experience
  • Current CPA or equivalent
  • Experience managing SOC/internal control/SOX audit requirements
  • Experience with Payment Card Industry requirements
  • Client relationship

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

  • 5 years of demonstrated management and team leadership experience, including mentoring direct reports and leading remote teams
  • 8 years of managerial accounting or operations management experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects
  • Strong knowledge of electronic funds movement
  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to negotiate with and influence senior levels of management.
  • Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and work under time-sensitive deadlines for self and direct reports.
  • Experience in working with all levels of management and technical staff
  • Experience with system testing and integration
  • Customer service oriented
  • Commercial and new business focused while building client relationships
