Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Automation Test Engineer to carry out our test automation strategy and elevate our product quality to the next level. This role involves working closely with Software Developers, leveraging shift-left methods to understand complex domains. The SDET will contribute to the development of automated Functional Integration tests and end-to-end tests through open-source test frameworks for overall system testing within an Agile environment. This position requires exercising discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Must Have
- Test complex API, web, and mobile-based applications with database back-end systems.
- Create and maintain automated test cases, execute test suites, and diagnose bugs.
- Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test suites through continuous integration.
- Work with engineering teams to derive testing requirements throughout the development cycle.
- Reproduce, debug, isolate problems, and verify fixes.
- Collaborate with software developers to create test plans, cases, procedures, and reports.
- Work cross-functional areas with internal partner engineering teams in an agile environment.
- Estimate own testing tasks.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience as an SDET in C++ Language.
- Ability to develop code in Java/Python/JavaScript.
- Experience in API testing (SOAP, RESTful).
- Experience with XML, Databases, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, and/or mobile devices.
- Experience with Test processes, open-source test frameworks, and automating tests in Java.
- Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration systems.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Git, Artifactory/Maven.
- Good communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Good to Have
- Exposure to GenAI/ML tools for testing (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
- Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, BlazeMeter, Gatling).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to basic security testing concepts and tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP).
- ISTQB or related certifications.

Job Summary: We are looking for a hands-on Automation Test Engineer to carry out our test automation strategy and elevate our product quality to the next level. This role involves working closely with Software Developers, which includes leveraging shift-left methods to understand a complex domain and product. The SDET focuses on contributing to the development of automated Functional Integration tests and end-to-end tests through open-source test frameworks for overall system testing within an Agile environment. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Required skills: C++, Python, Playwright, JavaScript, API Automation, SQL, and AI/ML/LLMs Knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test complex API, web, and mobile-based applications that reference database back-end systems.
- Creates and maintains automated test cases, executes test suites, reviews and diagnoses reported bugs, and ensures overall system quality prior to a customer release.
- Designs, develops, maintains, and troubleshoots automated suites of tests through continuous integration for value-added feedback.
- Works with the engineering teams to derive testing requirements throughout the development cycle.
- Reproduces, debugs, and isolates problems and verifies fixes.
- Works closely with software developers to create software artifacts, including test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
- Works cross-functional areas with internal partner engineering teams in a disciplined agile environment.
- Estimates own testing tasks.
Qualifications & Experience (Must-Haves):
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer or (SDET) or Software Development Engineer in Test role in C++ Language, and recommended to have experience in Google Test.
- Must have an understanding and ability to develop code in Java/Python/JavaScript. Experience in API testing from SOAP, RESTful is required.
- Experience with XML, Databases, and SQL is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, and/or mobile devices.
- Experience with Test processes, open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests in Java with frameworks like JUnit/TestNG, Selenium, JMeter, and Appium is preferred.
- Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration systems.
- Experience with tools & applications such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Git, and Artifactory/Maven.
- Previous experience with requirements, defect, functional, and performance management systems is desired. May be asked to work extended hours where required.
- Communication & Leadership: Good communication, leadership, and analytical skills, with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves):
- Generative AI: Exposure to GenAI/ML tools for testing (e.g., GitHub Copilot) is a significant plus.
- Performance Engineering: Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, BlazeMeter, Gatling).
- Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Security Testing: Exposure to basic security testing concepts and tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP).
- Certifications: ISTQB or related certifications are a plus.
