Job Summary
Lead a Unit Test Engineering team to ensure stable, controlled, and mistake-proofed test processes for semiconductor products. Responsibilities include defining and executing test solutions, managing new product test development, sustaining test solutions for released products, and designing test hardware. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and team development skills, with a minimum of 10 years in semiconductor test engineering and 5 years in management.

- Knowledge of electrical/mechanical screening and reliability testing
- Strong understanding of Design for Test and mistake proofing
- Experience designing test hardware
- Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills
- Proven change leadership
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization
- Experience in fast-paced manufacturing/NPI
- Ability to develop and execute KPIs
- Strong leadership in operations engineering

Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Lead the factory execution of stable, controlled, mistake proofed test/screening/reliability processes.
- Support execution of R/D and/or Operations test/screening/reliability roadmaps and CAPEX by working closely with business teams to ensure that test provides a competitive advantage in opening business opportunities for new products.
- Challenge the existing development processes and systems for improved efficiency in new product execution.
- Be the focal person to leverage existing industry technologies, including those from other Infineon sites, and when necessary, innovate to provide the best short to long-term solutions in the testing of new products.
- Provide leadership to the Unit Test Engineering team by facilitating collaboration and team cohesion. The result of this successful leadership will be engagement and empowerment of the team in meeting the business objectives for HiRel.
- Resolve highly complex development, manufacturing, procedural and system issues while involving experts through strong leadership, promotion of structure problem solving techniques, and timely decisions.
- Develop, coach, and mentor the team to improve performance.
- Job Responsibilities
- Define and execute a strategy for the Unit Test Engineering team to provide best-in-class test solutions to build highly competitive (best cost, quality, and performance) products, while driving for efficiency in our factories.
- Utilize program management methodology to support the test development of new products, while meeting project scope, schedule, budget, resource, and the subsequent manufacturing quality, cost, mistake proofing and through put targets.
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians who own the sustaining of test solutions for released products and for supporting R/D on the development of new products.
- Design for manufacturability and cost to ensure smooth transition to manufacturing
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- BS degree or higher in Engineering (Computer Science or Electrical)
- Minimum 10-year experience in semiconductor test engineering process with hands-on experience in leading new product integration, with 5 years of management experience.
- Thorough industry knowledge and experience in semiconductor test engineering across a wide range of automated test equipment such as Teradyne, Advantest, Eagle,TESEC etc.
- Knowledge in electrical and mechanical screening methodologies, including short term and long term reliability testing.
- Strong understanding of Design for Test, mistake proofing and requirements needed to test semiconductors and IC’s thoroughly and efficiently.
- Has experience in designing test hardware for a factory test solution as well as boards needed for test experiments and device characterization.
- Demonstrates strong verbal, written communication, reporting and presentation skills.
- An advocate for change for improvements and able to navigate and lead teams in change execution.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and mentor his/her team to improve competency and performance of the individual and team.
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills, and effective in defining and meeting ambitious to stretched goals; experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing and NPI environment.
- Develop and execute appropriate KPI’s to ensure the stability, improvement of the factory as well as achieving strategic goals and initiatives.
- Demonstrated Strong Leadership of more than one of the following operations engineering teams: Test Engineering, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, NPI

The Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate in the United States is:
Leominster, MA Minimum of $115,800 salary per year / Maximum of $159,200 salary per year
In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
