Job Summary
As a Quality Inspector at GE Vernova, you will be responsible for performing quality inspections in manufacturing, assembly, and at customer sites worldwide, ensuring compliance with operational plans and technical documentation. You will create NCRs, contribute to root cause analysis, and ensure acceptance tests. This role requires a completed three-year vocational training, experience in the energy/metal processing industry, proficiency with measuring equipment, and good English skills. You will also contribute to process modernization and provide technical guidance.
Must Have
- Perform quality inspections globally (manufacturing, assembly, customer sites).
- Create dimension control sheets, production documentation, and NCRs.
- Facilitate error resolution and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure product acceptance tests in factory and with suppliers.
- Prepare and execute quality-compliant inspection processes.
- Monitor and ensure use of calibrated measuring equipment.
- Define appropriate measurement technology and test setups.
- Support sales during customer acceptances.
- Work flexibly in service factories and power plant sites.
- Completed 3-year vocational training (e.g., industrial mechanic, quality inspector).
- Experience as a quality inspector in energy/metal industry.
- Proficiency with technical documents, test plans, and measuring tools.
- Strong quality understanding, reliability, and independence.
- Good communication, teamwork, and assertiveness.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with 3D measuring equipment
- Training in NDT inspection methods
- Experience in welding technology
- Knowledge of repair methods and processes

Your tasks:
- Perform quality inspections in manufacturing, assembly, with suppliers and customers worldwide, according to operation plans, drawings, instructions, test plans and applicable technologies, if necessary in cooperation with acceptance companies.
- Create dimension control sheets and complete production-related documentation.
- Create NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and facilitate decisions for error or defect elimination in cooperation with the responsible organizational units. Propose and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborate in determining root causes of errors. Commission inspections by inspection companies. Ensure acceptance tests of products in the factory and with suppliers.
- Prepare and conduct quality-compliant inspection processes.
- Participate in monitoring the quality-compliant use of functional, calibrated, and periodically checked measuring and testing equipment.
- Define the measurement technology and testing equipment to be used in connection with the applicable test procedures. Actively support sales units during customer acceptances.
- Flexible deployment in the service factory and at power plant construction sites domestically and internationally.
- Collaborate on modernizing inspection processes to reduce lead times and improve inspection quality.
- Provide technical guidance to workshop personnel according to general instructions, within the scope of tasks.
Your profile:
- Completed three-year specialized vocational training, e.g., as a cutting machine operator, industrial mechanic, material tester, or quality inspector.
- Experience as a quality inspector within the energy generation / metal processing industry.
- Experience in handling technical documents and test plans.
- Proficient use of testing and measuring equipment; experience with 3D measuring equipment is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of quality.
- Training in NDT inspection methods, experience in welding technology, knowledge of repair methods and processes are advantageous.
- Reliable and independent work.
- Good communication, teamwork skills, and assertiveness.
- Good English skills, written and spoken.
