Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our construction and engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of various civil engineering projects throughout the region. This involves conducting on-site inspections, verifying adherence to plans and codes, preparing reports, collaborating with stakeholders, and monitoring material quality and safety.

Must Have

  • Conduct thorough on-site inspections of civil engineering projects
  • Verify construction activities adhere to approved plans, specifications, and local building codes
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation of project progress
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address and resolve construction-related issues
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of materials and workmanship used in construction projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil inspection or a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian building codes and regulations
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software used in civil engineering and construction
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Good to Have

  • Experience with infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia is preferred
  • Professional certifications, such as Certified Construction Inspector, are a plus

Job Description

As a key member of our construction and engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of various civil engineering projects throughout the region.

  • Conduct thorough on-site inspections of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, buildings, and public works
  • Verify that construction activities adhere to approved plans, specifications, and local building codes
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation of project progress
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address and resolve construction-related issues
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of materials and workmanship used in construction projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide input on potential challenges or improvements
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures
  • Stay updated on industry standards, local regulations, and best practices in civil engineering and construction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil inspection or a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian building codes and regulations
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software used in civil engineering and construction
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience with infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia is preferred

  • Willingness to work in various outdoor conditions and travel to different project sites as needed
