Freelance Senior 3D Environment Artist

N-iX Game & VR Studio is seeking an experienced Freelance Senior 3D Environment Artist to create high-quality, realistic 3D environment props for AAA games. The role involves working remotely or in-house, matching project art styles, cooperating with other artists, and planning with the team lead. The studio delivers top-quality games and VR solutions for clients like Paradox Interactive and Supermassive Games, aiming for AAA quality work.

Must Have

• Creation of high-quality environment props
• Match the required art style of a project
• Cooperate with other artists to streamline the art creation process
• Work with the team lead to create a plan and schedule
• Knowledge of SubD modelling
• Strong modelling and texturing skills
• Ability to rationally distribute polycount at the facility
• Understanding different UV types (tiles, rectangular, UDIM)
• Ability to follow and correctly interpret the concept
• Ability to create 3D models from a photo/drawing
• Strong knowledge of 3dsMax, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Marmoset Toolbag
• Understanding of modern pipelines and technical limitations for creating hard surface models
• Good understanding of PBR pipelines for texturing
• Strong portfolio showing 3D art skills
• Good organization, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Familiarity with the game development cycle

• Sculpting in ZBrush
• CAD modeling
• Knowledge of Substance Designer
• Knowledge of Fusion 360/Plasticity
• Knowledge of ImageModeler
