Job Summary
Job Description
The Game Data Designer will be responsible for understanding client specifications, writing Game Design Documents (GDD), and modeling metadata. They will conceptualize game mechanics, data modeling, and balance data. A thorough understanding of game design, including core and secondary loops, level structure, data structures, UI/UX, and market analysis is required. This role involves defining user interfaces, controls, and experiences. The ideal candidate will be passionate about video games, possess strong analytical skills, and have the ability to communicate effectively. FRAG is a full-service game studio with over 40 projects for clients across the world including Netflix and Cartoon Network.
Must have:
- Understand client specifications and write GDD
- Conceptualize game mechanics and data modeling
- Understand core and secondary game loops
- Define User Interface and Controls
- Research and analyze market opportunities
Good to have:
- Passionate about video games and industry trends
- Proficiency with wireframes and spreadsheets
- Strong foundation in math and economics

About the role:
- Understand the Clients Specifications.
- Write Game Design Document (GDD) and Model Metadata.
- Conceptualizing game mechanics, data modelling, value balancing, rules, and settings for new games.
A thorough understanding of game design:
- Core and Secondary Loops.
- Construct level structure.
- Form data structures, balance data, and interlink data of feature systems in spreadsheets.
- Define User Interface and Controls.
- Define the User Experience.
- Research game target segments and analyze market opportunity.
Nice to haves:
- Passionate about Video Games, large list of played games
- Knowledge of the gaming industry, trends and new releases
- Proficiency with wireframes, document writing, and spreadsheets
- Strong foundation of math and economics, especially with regards to data modelling
- Good communication skills
