General Laborer

Sika Canada’s manufacturing plant in Dowling, ON is hiring a General Labourer to join our small, cohesive team!

In this role, the General Labourer would be exposed to a number of different responsibilities throughout the plant, from production and palletizing of Sika's cementitious products. The individual will assist mainly with the cementitious-based powder division, but as we are a very busy but a small team, they will have the opportunity to work with other products as needed.

The General Labourer will be:

• Bagging of cement-based product according to production and quality standards
• Manual stacking of product on pallet/production lines
• Safe operation of forklift for purposes of storing and shipping material
• Loading trucks and completing required paperwork
• Work safely at all times, adhering to all company safety policies (PPE, lock-out, confined space, safe lifting practices, etc.)
• Report any unsafe working conditions, all safety accidents, incidents, and near misses immediately to management
• General cleanliness of workstation/plant housekeeping to applicable standards
• Additional duties as assigned
