We are seeking an experienced Governance, Compliance & Risk Lead to strengthen our 2nd Line of Defence. You will play a key role in embedding sound governance, robust risk management, and regulatory compliance practices across our payment gateway business supporting safe and sustainable growth.
This is a Functional Lead role where, as an individual contributor you’ll lead by expertise, guiding others and partnering closely with business and operations teams to uphold compliance and operational resilience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain compliance and risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct and support key risk and compliance activities including: Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA). Gap assessments and internal reviews. Business Continuity and incident management exercises. Compliance checks related to AML/CFT, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) and Third-Party Risk Management.
- Facilitate and conduct timely reporting of Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Incident Reporting to management and regulators.
- Support, coach and back-up peers in delivering work where needed.
- Champion continuous improvement, with a focus on how to improve delivery of Compliance & Risk initiatives.
- Maintain a good awareness of internal and external trends for effective risk management.
- Execute ad-hoc initiatives or reviews as assigned by Management.
Pre-Requisites :
Pre-Requisites
- 6 - 7 years’ experience in similar governance, compliance and risk roles within a payment gateway, fintech, or financial institution.
- Good understanding of regulatory expectations.
- Able to coach and mentor others.
- Adaptable to changing environment and experience building relationships with senior stakeholders and other teams forming effective and collaborative partnerships.
- Self-aware and able to consider the bigger picture and/or perspective of others and manage your impact on others.
- Exposure to handling regional compliance and risk operations is a plus.
