This 6-month full-time onsite GRIT Trainee role in Singapore supports Grab's Tech Strategy & PMO organization. The trainee will manage aspects of Tech Planning, including Technical Programme Management, Technical Programme/Procurement Management, Tech Governance Oversight, and Tech Strategy Planning. Responsibilities involve supporting TPM leads, ensuring adherence to tech-wide governance policies, managing procurement processes with stakeholders, and assisting in strategy planning with leaders and teams.

Get to Know the Team

The Tech Strategy team is responsible for driving key technology initiatives across Grab's Technology organization. Its mandate encompasses strategic planning for technology investments, identifying avenues to enhance the productivity of the technology organization, developing the technology talent strategy, managing technology partnerships, and spearheading various ad hoc programs as required.

Get to Know the Role

This is a 6 months full-time onsite role based in Singapore as part of the GRIT Programme.

This role supports the Tech Strategy & PMO org in Grab and essentially manages all aspects of Tech Planning from Technical Programme Management across Platforms and/Verticals, to Technical Programme/Procurement Management to Tech Governance Oversight and Tech Strategy Planning.

The trainees will be assigned to any one of above areas within the org.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

The trainee will be involved in the following areas:

  • Supporting Technical Programme Management in an org/ specific Problem Spaces being tagged to a TPM lead
  • Supporting tech-wide governance oversight through updating related policies and monitoring to ensure adherence to the related policies
  • Supporting tech-wide procurement management through engagement with tech stakeholders and supporting the procurement/vendor management process
  • Supporting tech-wide/org-wide strategy planning through working with relevant leaders and teams

As the Tech Strategy team is composed of a bunch of senior ICs, a Trainee with our team will be assigned high-ambiguity projects with clear guidance, but we will naturally be very light on hand-holding. The candidate must possess a high level of independence and proactiveness to land meaningful contributions.
