Job Summary
The Instructional Designer will play a crucial role in empowering our sales team to achieve peak performance. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective eLearning modules, training materials, and performance support content. This role requires a creative and driven individual passionate about adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and leveraging technology to enhance learning experiences. You will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) across the sales organization and other departments to translate complex information into clear, concise, and impactful learning solutions that drive sales effectiveness and product knowledge.

- Design and develop engaging learning content (eLearning courses, modules, micro-learnings, facilitator guides, workbooks, job aids, videos, simulations).
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE) for effective learning solutions.
- Conduct needs analyses and collaborate with stakeholders to define learning objectives and content requirements.
- Manage and maintain learning content within LMS and other repositories.
- Partner with sales leadership, product marketing, and SMEs for content accuracy.
- Develop and implement methods for evaluating training program effectiveness.
- Stay current with instructional design, eLearning, and sales enablement trends.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Engaging Learning Content:
- Create high-quality, interactive, and instructionally sound eLearning courses, modules, and micro-learnings using authoring tools.
- Develop a variety of learning materials, including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, quick reference guides, videos, and interactive simulations.
- Write clear, concise, and engaging scripts, narration, and on-screen text for learning content.
- Incorporate multimedia elements (graphics, audio, video, animations) to enhance the learning experience.
- Instructional Design and Curriculum Development:
- Apply adult learning principles and established instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE) to create effective learning solutions.
- Conduct needs analyses and collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs to identify learning objectives, define scope, and gather content requirements for training programs.
- Develop comprehensive curriculum plans, learning paths, and assessment strategies.
- Organize and structure content in a logical and intuitive manner that facilitates learning and retention.
- Content Management and Maintenance:
- Manage and maintain a library of learning content within our Learning Management System (LMS) and other content repositories.
- Regularly review and update existing training materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness.
- Implement version control and quality assurance processes for all learning deliverables.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Partner effectively with sales leadership, product marketing, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Clearly communicate project status, challenges, and resolutions to management chain and other stakeholders.
- Solicit and incorporate feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve learning programs.
- Evaluation and Reporting:
- Develop and implement methods for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and learning solutions (e.g., Kirkpatrick's levels of evaluation).
- Analyze learning data and report on key metrics to demonstrate the impact of training initiatives.
- Make data-driven recommendations for program improvements.
- Stay Current with Industry Trends:
- Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in instructional design, eLearning development, and sales enablement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3-5+ years) as an Instructional Designer, with a focus on SaaS sales training.
- Proven experience working with various sales methodologies and processes e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger etc.
- Proven ability to design training that moves key sales metrics
- Demonstrable experience designing and developing engaging eLearning modules and content using industry-standard authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate).
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design theories (ADDIE, SAM, etc.), and curriculum development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in creating various learning materials, including instructor-led training (ILT) materials, virtual instructor-led training (vILT) materials, job aids, and performance support tools.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for course deployment and tracking.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with agile project management methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Portfolio showcasing relevant instructional design and eLearning development work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
