Founded 28 years ago, it aims to democratize trading through digital tools. This senior role leads the Marketing function in Tokyo, integrated into the global Marketing organization. It's a critical role focusing on devising, planning, implementing, and maintaining marketing, communications, and PR strategies to support local growth and global business strategy, specifically developing the Private/Retail business in Japan.
Must have:
  • Ownership of local marketing planning in Japan based on overall business strategy.
  • Custodian of global brand, developing brand perception and awareness.
  • Ownership of local website, developing and executing marketing plans.
  • Owner of external communications, organic media, and public relations.
  • Oversee and develop relations with key opinion leaders, affiliates, and partners.
  • Responsibility and accountability for the Japan marketing budget, ensuring ROI.
  • Website Performance Analysis using tools like Adobe Analytics and PowerBI.
  • Monitor client journey and competitors to identify and implement improvements.
  • Provide local insights on competition, media, regulation, market development.
  • Coordinate activities with in-house media and web teams to grow lead generation.
  • Collaborate with creative, web, PR, and digital engagement teams.
  • Ensure all website content complies with local regulatory requirements.
  • Develop Go To Market plans to support commercial roadmap for product launches.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to optimize interactions with investment platforms.
Good to have:
  • University Degree in Commerce, Science, or Engineering preferred.
  • TOEIC score of 900+.
  • JSDA Sales Representative, Class 1, Class 2 certification desired.

The position

This senior role is heading the Marketing function in our local office, while being fully integrated into the global Marketing organization in Copenhagen HQ. It is a business-critical role – both in terms of strategy and execution. The responsibilities are to devise, plan, implement and maintain marketing, communications, and PR strategies. These activities will support the local growth ambitions and global business strategy.

As our Japanese Marketing lead, you will focus on developing the Private/Retail business in Japan, but you will occasionally support key Institutional initiatives where relevant. You will be a key member of the global Marketing team and the local Commercial team, reporting the Local Head of Mission Control, Japan.

You will own the Japanese marketing campaigns, calendar, budget, and media plan with the mandate and responsibility to position the brand for traders and investors in Japan, to grow new and existing business, and to evolve the way of doing marketing in a priority market for the Group.

The role is based in our local office and will lead a team of two marketing and communication specialists, while coordinating HQ functions for content production, media buying and web development.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of local marketing planning in Japan based on overall business strategy, global guidance, and local office priorities
  • Custodian of our global brand with the responsibility to develop brand perception and brand awareness in the local market
  • Ownership of the local website: develop and execute marketing plans for the website, to display our products, prices, and services in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Owner of external communications, organic media, and public relations
  • Oversee and develop relations with key opinion leaders, affiliates, and partners
  • Responsibility and accountability for the Japan marketing budget, ensure that it is deployed to achieve ambitious targets in terms of growth and ROI across marketing activities and channels
  • Website Performance Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of website performance using tools like Adobe Analytics and PowerBI dashboards to assess and improve marketing funnel performance and conversion rates.
  • Monitor on own client journey as well as competitors’ activities to identify and implement improvements in our own client experience and performance
  • Provide local insights on competition, media, regulation, as well as market and industry development
  • Coordinate activities with the in-house media and web teams to grow the lead generation engine and improve conversion rates
  • Collaborate with creative, web, PR, and digital engagement teams to bring an intuitive and compelling onboarding experience to market.
  • Compliance and Content Accountability: Ensure all website content, including third-party content, complies with local regulatory requirements
  • Develop Go To Market plans to support the commercial roadmap for product and feature launches, delivering commercial initiatives from brief to finish
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to deliver and optimize interactions with our investment platforms, from onboarding improvements to product usage and promotions.

What you need to succeed

  • Solid knowledge of the financial industry and investment services
  • In-depth understanding of digital and offline marketing for client acquisition
  • Experience with marketing campaign planning, execution, and evaluation
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills to navigate a complex corporate environment and C-level counterparts
  • Outstanding project management skills. You thrive in complexity and can manage numerous projects and collaborators at the same time
  • Experience analyzing website performance using analytical tools such as Adobe Analytics or similar providers.
  • You are highly structured, and you can set clear plans and goals for your team and collaborators
  • You are fluent in Japanese and English and can navigate an international and diverse company
  • You are motivated by working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with ambitious goals

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Commerce, Science, or Engineering preferred.
  • TOEIC score of 900+.
