Job Summary

SandboxAQ is seeking a Head of Product Marketing & Demand Generation for its AI Simulation team. This role involves defining the brand narrative, creating high-quality technical content, and spearheading sales enablement to drive commercial pipeline. The ideal candidate will translate complex scientific breakthroughs into compelling stories, develop product marketing strategies for key sectors, and collaborate cross-functionally to accelerate sales and build customer trust.

Must Have

  • Develop and implement an opinionated product marketing strategy
  • Partner with GM, product, and business development to prioritize segments, define target personas, and identify salient proof points
  • Own the narrative for the AI Simulation business unit
  • Translate complex technical work into compelling stories for technical buyers, executives, and investors
  • Write case studies, PR FAQs, blog posts, and drive GTM
  • Create and manage content that supports the entire customer journey (decks, one pagers, website copy, conference abstracts, email campaigns, launch materials)
  • Work closely with business development teams to create reusable sales enablement assets and repeatable plays
  • Conduct market, competitive and customer research
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Proactively align marketing efforts with overarching business objectives
  • Collaborate closely with product, business development, and R&D teams to influence the solution roadmap
  • Collaborate with customers, hyperscalers, and GTM partners to develop case studies, co-branded content, webinars, events, and other assets
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B product marketing with an emphasis on high-velocity technical and scientific fields
  • Deep expertise in storytelling, messaging, positioning, and product launches for technical solutions or products
  • Ability to create high quality content across formats, from sales decks and one pagers to longer form assets, such as white papers
  • Experience in a founder-led or high growth startup environment
  • Comfortable collaborating closely with senior leaders
  • Comfortable flexing outside of immediate scope, proactively identifying needs, and taking on tasks outside the traditional product marketing function
  • Ability to travel up to 30% for customer/partner engagements, industry conferences, and internal meetings/offsites
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with technical and scientific teams, translating complex concepts into clear communications

About The Role

SandboxAQ is a technology powerhouse empowering scientists with cutting-edge AI and Large Quantitative Models (LQMs) like AQBioSim and AQChemSim to accelerate breakthroughs and navigate complex challenges in Biology, Chemistry, and Materials Science. This is your unique opportunity to translate complex scientific breakthroughs and proofs of concept into clear, compelling stories that accelerate sales cycles, build deep customer trust, and secure our leadership position in the market.

As the founding product marketing hire for our AI Simulation team at SandboxAQ, you will define the brand narrative of the AI Simulation business, create high-quality technical content, and spearhead sales enablement to drive our commercial pipeline.

This role is ideal for a leader in product marketing who is comfortable with nascent categories, enjoys working directly with technical leaders, and is comfortable operating as a player-coach with some agency and cross-functional support. As the foundational marketing hire you should have strong self agency, be comfortable taking on tasks outside of your scope, and leaning with key partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategy: Develop and implement an opinionated product marketing strategy to penetrate key sectors within the $23+ trillion quantitative economy – including Biopharma/Diagnostics ($8T) and Chemicals/Materials/Energy ($15T). Partner with the GM, product, and business development to prioritize segments, define target personas, and identify salient proof points to take to market.
  • Storytelling: Own the narrative for the AI Simulation business unit. Translate complex technical work into compelling stories for technical buyers, executives, and investors. Write case studies, PR FAQs, blog posts, and drive GTM to show how our models and solutions create value for customers.
  • Content, Campaigns, and Sales Enablement: Create and manage content that supports the entire customer journey, including decks, one pagers, website copy, conference abstracts, email campaigns, and launch materials. Work closely with business development teams to create reusable sales enablement assets and repeatable plays.
  • Market and Customer Insights: Conduct market, competitive and customer research to refine positioning, identify new opportunities, and inform which proof points will resonate most with target accounts.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and drive data-driven improvements.
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Proactively align marketing efforts with overarching business objectives by collaborating closely with product, business development, and R&D teams to influence the solution roadmap.
  • Partnerships and Co-marketing: Collaborate with customers, hyperscalers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud), and GTM partners to develop case studies, co-branded content, webinars, events, and other assets that reinforce our position in the market.

About You

The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $188k - $263k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses and equity.
