High Voltage Power Electronics Test Technician

Technicon Design US is looking for an experienced automotive Test Technician to join their team in the southern Los Angeles area. This contract role involves setting up and executing test plans for high voltage power electronics such as Inverters, Onboard Chargers, DC-DC converters, High Voltage BMS, and Charge Controllers. The technician will operate and maintain design validation equipment like thermal chambers, surge generators, and spectrum analyzers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on hardware validation and failure analysis. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Test Technician or Engineering Technician is required, along with experience in high voltage systems, power electronics, or automotive components.

Must Have

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Test Technician
• Experience with high voltage systems
• Excellent problem solving skills

Good to Have

• Experience with power electronics or automotive components

• Set up and execute comprehensive test plans on high voltage power electronics including Inverter, Onboard Charger, DC-DC converter, High Voltage BMS and Charge Controllers.
• Operate and maintain design validation equipment including thermal chambers, surge generators and spectrum analyzers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on hardware validation and failure analysis.
• Support test execution and data collection.
