Job Description

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will be the primary HR contact for the organization in Brazil, delivering strategic HR initiatives and operational support. This role drives employee engagement, compliance, and talent management, handling day-to-day HR administration. Responsibilities include acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, partnering with leadership on HR strategies, supporting workforce planning and development, managing employee relations and compliance with Brazilian labor laws, overseeing recruitment and onboarding, processing employee records, coordinating payroll, administering benefits, managing travel arrangements, identifying training needs, assisting in performance management, analyzing HR metrics, driving employee engagement initiatives, and managing relationships with external vendors. The role requires strong communication, stakeholder management, and knowledge of Brazilian labor laws.

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as the primary HR contact for the organisation in Brazil, responsible for delivering both strategic HR initiatives and operational HR support. This role will drive employee engagement, compliance, and talent management while also managing day-to-day HR administration, ensuring a seamless HR experience for employees and leadership.

What you will do:


Strategic HR & Business Partnering:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals.
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and development initiatives.

Employee Relations & Compliance:

  • Provide guidance on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and compliant resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with Brazilian labor laws and company policies.
  • Manage disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution processes.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and hiring coordination.
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding to ensure a smooth employee experience.
  • Support employer branding and recruitment marketing efforts.

HR Administration & Payroll Coordination:

  • Process and maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
  • Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate data entry and liaising with finance/payroll teams.
  • Administer employee benefits, leave management, and HRIS updates.
  • Effectively manage all travel arrangements for the Brazil region, ensuring compliance with company travel policies and procedures.

Learning & Development:

  • Identify training needs and support the implementation of learning programs.
  • Assist in performance management processes, including goal setting and feedback sessions.

HR Data & Reporting:

  • Maintain and analyse HR metrics to support decision-making.
  • Prepare HR reports for leadership on key trends, such as turnover, engagement, and compliance risks.

 

Culture & Employee Engagement:

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace culture.
  • Plan and execute HR-related events and communication strategies.

Work experience and skills

Essential experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist or business partnering role.
  • Prior experience managing HR operations and administration independently is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Brazilian labor laws and HR compliance.
  • Ability to balance strategic HR planning with day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Experience handling payroll inputs and benefits administration.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and employees, and to act as a trusted advisor and business partner
  • Demonstrated experience in leading formal and informal grievances and performance management matters
  • Commerciality - the ability to apply a reasonable and considered approach to delivery of key outcomes
  • Experience with cloud-based HRIS, G-Suite, Culture Amp, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence & Trello) would be advantageous.

Relationships

The HR Business Partner will report to the HR Manager and will work closely with the Country Manager and key stakeholders in Brazil. The role will involve building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and working collaboratively to achieve common goals. The HR Business Partner will also be responsible for managing relationships with external vendors and partners as required.
