Kaizen Gaming, powering Betano, is a leading GameTech company operating in 19 markets worldwide. They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Operations Assistant for their Lisbon office to support the HR department. This role offers a strong foundation in payroll, HR operations, and internal policy administration, with visibility into the company's people-first culture and employee development strategies. The assistant will manage daily HR tasks, act as a point of contact for employees, and ensure accurate and confidential execution of responsibilities with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be responsible for responding to employee queries, maintaining HR systems, assisting with payroll processing and employee lifecycle management, and supporting leave administration and HR compliance checks.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Operations Assistant to support our HR department in Lisbon with day-to-day operations.

This position offers a strong foundation in payroll, HR operations, and internal policy administration, while providing visibility into the company’s people-first culture and employee development strategies.

The HR Operations Assistant is responsible for various administrative and operational HR tasks, while acting as a key point of contact for employee queries. Success in this role will be demonstrated through the timely, accurate, and confidential execution of responsibilities with minimal supervision.

As an HR Operations Assistant you will:
  • Respond to employee queries in an assertive, timely, and solutions-oriented manner.
  • Maintain and update employee information in HR systems and personal files accurately and promptly.
  • Assist the Senior Payroll Specialist and HR team with day-to-day operations.
  • Handle administrative tasks required for payroll processing and employee life-cycle management.
  • Support the administration of leave management, including tracking annual leave, work schedules, and related payroll inputs.
  • Conduct HR compliance checks to ensure alignment with local labor laws and internal policies.
  • Assist with the administration of rewards and benefits programs.
  • Perform general HR administrative duties and ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and HR-related information.

What you'll bring:

  • Good communication in English & Portuguese.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and matters with discretion.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to meet project deadlines with a strong attention to detail.
  • Quick learner with a self-driven mindset.
  • A graduate-level degree in Human Resources, Law, or a relevant field, and/ or a minimum of 1 year of HR experience.
