Job Summary

This role is for an L1/L2 Technical Consultant to join an IT/Cloud services team, focusing on support and operations. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of IT infrastructure, SQL, Unix, Shell Scripting, databases, performance tuning, and server administration (Windows/Linux). Key responsibilities include monitoring Azure resources, managing service alerts, incident management, server and infrastructure support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely issue resolution.

Must Have

  • Foundational understanding of IT infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Ability to perform L1 triage and troubleshooting for incidents.
  • Experience in monitoring Azure resources, servers, databases, and applications.
  • Ability to track and resolve service alerts in ticketing systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 1 to 3 years of experience in product or implementation support.

Good to Have

  • Familiarity with performance tuning techniques.
  • Experience with Python and Azure Cloud.
  • Exposure to monitoring/ticketing tools like Zabbix, Splunk, AppD.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Certifications like CCNA, MCSA, RHCSA.
  • Exposure to Blue Yonder’s product suite.

Job Description

Scope:

We are looking for enthusiastic L1,L2 Support Engineers to join our IT/Cloud services team. The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of IT infrastructure, SQL (complex), Unix, Shell Scripting, databases, Performance tuning and server administration (Windows/Linux). This role focuses on L1, L2 support, servicenow management, and operational support across cloud, server, network, and database environments. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are key to success.

Our current technical environment:

  • Networking: Good understanding of Networking concepts
  • Operating Systems: Familiarity with Windows/Linux administration (installation, user management, log analysis).
  • Databases: Basic Database knowledge - SQL/Oracle - queries, backups, user access
  • General: Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Exposure to monitoring/ticketing tools like Zabbix/Splunk/AppD
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
  • Certifications like CCNA/MCSA/RHCSA preferred
  • Willingness to learn and work in a 24x7 support environment
  • Hands-on L1 support experience in IT infrastructure

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor Azure resources, servers, databases, networks, and applications using dashboards & monitoring tools.
  • Track and resolve service alerts, ensuring timely updates in ticketing systems.
  • Incident Management
  • Perform L1 triage and troubleshooting for incidents across servers, networks, and databases.
  • Escalate issues to L2/L3 teams as required.
  • Document incidents, root causes, and resolution steps for knowledge sharing.
  • Server & Infrastructure Support
  • Assist in administering Windows and Linux servers (user management, basic services, patching support).
  • Support basic tasks in Active Directory, access management, and resource provisioning.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of network components (connectivity, DNS, firewall basics).
  • Assist in monitoring and basic maintenance of databases (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) including connectivity, space utilization, and backup checks.
  • Collaboration & Governance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Infra, Cloud, DB, Network, Security).
  • Support compliance, security, and governance requirements as per company policy.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1 to 3 years of experience in product support or implementation support.
  • Flexible skill set and availability to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting; experience with Python and Azure Cloud is a plus.
  • Familiarity with performance tuning techniques is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the technical landscape relevant to the assigned product line.
  • Knowledge of various technical platforms, systems, and infrastructures.
  • Exposure to Blue Yonder’s product suite and the ability to articulate product integrations and dependencies is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely issue resolution
