Job Summary

Blue Yonder is seeking a Sr. Technical Accountant with deep expertise in U.S. GAAP and strong experience in complex consolidations for multinational organizations. This role supports global consolidation, financial reporting, and technical accounting activities. Responsibilities include managing monthly consolidations, reviewing financial statements, analyzing foreign currency impacts, owning roll-forward schedules, ensuring intercompany eliminations, and supporting M&A integration. The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of navigating complex accounting issues in a fast-paced high-tech environment.

Must Have

  • Support monthly consolidations processes and financial reporting packages.
  • Coordinate loading and validation of trial balances for non-ERP entities.
  • Support review of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Analyze and validate foreign currency and translation impact on financial results.
  • Review consolidated business results and draft Balance Sheet and Income Statement flux analysis.
  • Own roll-forward schedules for goodwill, PPE, intangibles, and equity accounts.
  • Ensure accurate elimination of intercompany transactions across entities.
  • Prepare reconciliation of equity and certain other balance sheet accounts.
  • Support M&A integration activities, including purchase price accounting.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations.
  • Partner with controllership teams to streamline workflows and implement automation.
  • Support external reporting and compliance, working with audit teams.
  • Draft technical accounting memos and position papers for complex transactions.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on technical accounting and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Solid proficiency in ERP systems (Workday, SAP, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex accounting issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good to Have

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification.
  • Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
  • Experience drafting technical accounting papers.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working in complex consolidations for multinational organizations.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with global teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with IFRS.

Overview:

A global leader in supply chain software solutions, is seeking a Sr. Technical Accountant with deep expertise in U.S. GAAP and strong experience in complex consolidations for multinational organizations. Reporting to the Director of Consolidations and Reporting, you will play a critical role in supporting global consolidation, financial reporting, and technical accounting activities.

This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced high-tech environment and can navigate complex accounting issues with precision.

Scope/What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support the monthly consolidations processes of the business units, and the related monthly financial reporting packages
  • Coordinate with loading and validation of trial balances for entities that are outside of our ERP system
  • Support the review of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Analyze and validate the foreign currency and translation impact on financial results
  • Analyze global results- Review consolidate results of the business and help draft consolidated Balance Sheet and Income Statement flux analysis
  • Own roll-forward schedules for goodwill, PPE, intangibles, and equity accounts
  • Ensure accurate elimination of intercompany transactions across entities
  • Prepare the reconciliation of equity and certain other balance sheet accounts
  • Support M&A integration activities, including purchase price accounting and pushdown accounting
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Partner with controllership teams to streamline workflows and implement automation
  • Support External Reporting & Compliance – Work closely with audit teams to guarantee adherence to SOX/internal controls and external reporting requirements
  • Draft technical accounting memos and position papers for complex transactions
  • Assist in special accounting and finance projects on an ad-hoc basis

What We Are Looking For:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on technical accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP (familiarity with IFRS is a plus)
  • Solid proficiency in ERP systems (ex: Workday, SAP, or similar) and advanced Microsoft excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment without losing accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex accounting issues, including foreign currency translation and intercompany eliminations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical memos and interacting with auditors.

Highly Preferred:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification
  • Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience, particularly in audit or technical accounting advisory.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls
  • Experience drafting technical accounting papers
  • Familiarity with automation tools, reports and process improvement initiatives
  • Experience working in complex consolidations for multinational organizations is a plus
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with global teams and influence stakeholders
