Head of Brand Sales – Retail Media (GTM Activation)

Job Summary
In this role, you are responsible for building and further developing our retail media business on the brand side. As Head of Brand Sales, you will develop the go-to-market strategy for brand partners, position idealo as a relevant full-funnel retail media player, and build scalable activation models for our onsite and offsite solutions. You will work closely with Product, Marketing, Data, and Ad Operations, drive the monetization of our advertising products, and define how brands can efficiently increase reach, performance, and sales through idealo.
Must Have
- Build and lead the Brand Sales team for the entire DACH market.
- Develop and implement the GTM strategy for brand partners.
- Responsible for acquiring, developing, and scaling brand budgets (FMCG, Consumer Electronics, Home & Living, Beauty, etc.).
- Develop value propositions for brands along the full funnel.
- Build strong relationships with Brand Marketing and Performance teams on the client side.
- Close collaboration with Product to derive brand requirements for future advertising products.
- Forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue responsibility for the Brand Sales unit.
- Thought leadership for brands in the Retail Media context: insights, benchmarks, case studies.
- Several years of experience in Brand Sales, Retail Media or Digital Advertising (Retailer, RMN, Media agency, platforms).
- Strong expertise in marketing onsite and offsite advertising products.
- Deep understanding of Brand and Performance KPIs and their interlinking.
- Experience in building sales teams and processes.
- Strong customer orientation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate complex data and products into customer benefits in an understandable way.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong desire to shape a new business area.
- Intrinsic motivation and a proactive mindset.
- Fluent English and German language skills.
