This 2-year temporary contract position is for an Industrial Print Customer Success Installation Technician. The role involves providing skilled technical support for Page-Wide Press installations and upgrades, working closely with customers, HP Install Project Managers, and technical partners. Responsibilities include applying extensive knowledge to complex assignments, installing and upgrading computer networks and systems, and troubleshooting. The role requires significant travel, up to 60%.
Must have:
  • Provide skilled technical support working closely with customers, HP Install Project Managers, and technical partners in support of PWP installations and upgrades.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of job skills, company policies and procedures to complete complex, specialized assignments/tasks.
  • Install and upgrade well-functioning computer networks and systems.
  • Minimum Vocational/Diploma/Associate Degree (technical field) with 6+ years of of working experience.
  • Experience with support of full range of HP products in Customer base.
  • Willing and able to travel, up to 60%.
  • Strong mechanical/electrical skills and experience.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Set up, calibrate, troubleshoot, and validate process/product equipment using schematics and guides.
  • Execute testing to identify and correct system problems at component levels as part of system sustainment activities.
  • Strong electro/mechanical understanding to determine root cause of most common system and interface problems and provide solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and with other experts to determine root cause of complex systems and interface problems and execute identified solutions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision, and at times completing assignments without established procedures.
  • Dependability in delivering results according to schedules without reminders.
  • Experience reading schematics and troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows and using computer commands.
  • Hands on experience with common computer software and hardware.

  • Knowledge/Experience of PWP press platforms and third-party equipment solutions.
  • Customer facing experience- professional interactions, able to deal with project complexity.
  • Understands 3 phase electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of press paper path system and subsystems components and interactions.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies.

THIS POSITION IS A 2 YEAR TEMPORARY CONTRACT

The primary responsibilities for this Page-Wide Press Installation Technician position will be to provide skilled technical support working closely with customers, HP Install Project Managers, and technical partners in support of PWP installations and upgrades. This will require the install technician to apply extensive knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures to complete complex, specialized assignments/tasks in creative and effective ways. Works on assignments that are complex in nature and requires considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions.

This role will mainly be installing and upgrading well-functioning computer networks and systems.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Minimum Vocational/Diploma/ Associate Degree (technical field) with 6+ years of working experience. May include highly experienced individuals performing equivalent work or who are non-degreed or degreed in an unrelated field or equivalent vocational or military training.
  • Experience with support of full range of HP products in Customer base.
  • Must be willing and able to travel, up to 60%
