Job Description

This role is for a Technical Training Specialist focusing on flight simulators, not pilot training. The specialist will provide technical training on CAE products to customers globally, both in-person and remotely. They will also contribute to developing training materials and act as a resource for product operations and maintenance. The role involves interacting with various departments within CAE, from production to engineering, and traveling up to 60% of the time to customer sites to deliver training and share knowledge.
Must have:
  • Provide technical training on our products to all CAE customers.
  • Participate and contribute to the development of training materials.
  • Be one of the resource people for everything related to the operations and maintenance of CAE products.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, computer science, in education, or communication.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and share knowledge.
  • Adaptability and quick learning in various technology and architecture settings.
  • Genuine interest in the technical field, proficiency in problem diagnosis.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational skills, and adaptability to changes.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, while traveling.
  • Availability to travel up to 60% of the time.
Good to have:
  • Fluency in other languages is an asset.

About This Role

This role is for Technical Training and not for pilot training

We are looking for candidates for Technical Training Specialist positions. They will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with all the different modules of a flight simulator as we offer training on the technologies, software tools, as well as the skills required to ensure the reliability and operational efficiency of a flight simulator.

You will have the chance to interact with different departments within CAE, from production to engineering.

As a liaison between CAE and its customers, you will frequently be called upon to go to our customers' sites, to deliver training and share your knowledge with the responsible technicians and engineers, who are from, of diverse cultures and experiences.

The Technical Training team delivers both theoretical classroom sessions and maintenance on real equipment and debugging, on the international fleet of CAE simulators.

The role we are offering you:

  • Armed with your knowledge, you will be called upon to provide, in person or remote, technical training on our products to all CAE customers.
  • Faced with the advancement of technologies, you will participate and contribute to the development of training materials, in concert with the main stakeholders in the different design and assembly phases (engineering, production, project management, etc.).
  • For customers, you will be one of the resource people for everything related to the operations and maintenance of CAE products.
  • Thus, you will become part of a dynamic team of experienced employees who aim to provide an experience that is both pleasant and enriching for all our customers.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, computer science, in education, or communication.
  • Proficient in English; fluency in other languages is an asset. Based on equal qualifications, preference will be given to bilingual candidates: English and French.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and share knowledge.
