Sony Pictures International Productions is seeking an Intern for its Legal department for Fall 2025. This role involves assisting the legal department in planning and executing international projects, researching and analyzing legal issues, and supporting logistics and scheduling. The intern will also help maintain communication with international partners, participate in meetings, contribute ideas, and draft various development, production, and distribution documents.
Must have:

  • Familiarity with international markets and cultural nuances.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program.
  • Experience in law firms or legal departments, particularly in entertainment law.
  • Passion for legal and entertainment industries.
  • Attention to detail.

Job Details

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Sony Pictures International Productions is the local-language production arm of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Motion Picture Group. Sony Pictures International Productions focuses on creating and managing content for global audiences. This includes coordinating with various teams to ensure that productions meet international standards and resonate with diverse cultures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist legal department in the planning and execution of international projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to research and analyze legal issues.
  • Support the legal team in logistics and scheduling.
  • Help maintain communication with international partners and stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute ideas for legal department.
  • Draft development, production, and distribution documents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous internship or work experience, preferably in legal, media, film, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, drafting, and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with international markets and cultural nuances.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program
  • Experience in law firms or legal departments, particularly in entertainment law.
  • Passion for legal and entertainment industries.
  • Attention to detail.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $19/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
