About this Position

G-P has a fantastic opportunity for a 4th (final) year student to participate in a 6-month paid internship within the G-P Platform teams. As part of this role, you will get the chance to work in a global team and gain valuable, hands-on experience within a rapidly growing company. The aim of this internship is to give you an insight into the work that goes on within a Software development team, as well as to provide you with worthwhile skills and experience that you will hopefully find beneficial for your future career.

The Platform team in G-P is responsible for building core SaaS & Agentic AI capabilities that enable many other product teams in G-P to build customer-facing applications and AI agents using these technologies and capabilities. The team also drives the overall SaaS and AI Platform capabilities in the organization by providing tools and architecture patterns to build a world-class scalable platform using Domain driven design (DDD) concepts. This includes a strong focus on AI Models, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and the development of intelligent Agentic Systems.

Our technology stack is world-class with close partnerships with AWS and taking advantage of AWS native tech stacks, Event-driven architecture patterns and including services for AI/ML model deployment and management.

What can you expect to do?

• Work alongside the Platform teams and get an understanding of the work environment and culture within the team / organization.
• Opportunity to work closely with the team members to build and enhance capabilities in the real team settings as part of the scrum teams, specifically contributing to AI/ML feature development, agent-based system design, and multi-cloud infrastructure projects.
• Learn the end-to-end software development lifecycle, focusing on engineering excellence, KPIs, and metrics.
• Develop an understanding of cross-functional stakeholder collaboration and agile work methodologies.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to platform services, including AI models and agent deployments.
• Contribute to the development and testing of new platform apps, focusing on AI/ML-driven features and autonomous agents.
• Collaborate with other members of the Platform team to ensure smooth and efficient operations, particularly in optimizing AI/ML workflows and multi-cloud resource utilization.
• Assist with clear documentation and training materials for users of platform apps, including guidelines for AI/ML best practices and agent integration.

What we are looking for:

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc.)
• Strong coding and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages; familiarity with API design and AI/Agentic system development is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
