We have an exciting brand new opportunity for an Internal Audit Manager to join our Enterprise Risk team in Perth. You will be response to establish and develop the internal audit function, ensuring robust audit processes and compliance with industry standards. You will perform and report on internal audit reviews, providing insights and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks across VGW. 

This newly created position is ideal for a passionate audit professional with in-depth knowledge of audit standards and procedures, risk management practices and procedures, and experience planning and delivering an audit program across various domains including technology, operations, finance and regulation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement the internal audit framework, policies and procedures
  • Design and set up audit plans and schedules to cover key risk areas
  • Conduct internal audit reviews to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes
  • Evaluate VGW compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations
  • Present audit findings to senior management and the board, providing insights on risk management and control improvements

What you will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: In a relevant field such as Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Professional Certifications: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other relevant certifications
  • Experience: At least 7 - 10 years of experience in audit, risk management and/ or consultancy across a broad range of domains including operational, cyber and information security, finance, and legal and regulatory compliance. 
  • Knowledge of Audit Frameworks: Familiarity with audit frameworks and standards such as IPPF, ISO 19011, COSO, or ISACA
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively examine and interpret data, identify issues, and develop practical solutions to improve VGW processes and controls
