Job Summary

The Account Director leads client relationships, drives strategic thinking, and delivers complex multi-channel healthcare communication campaigns. This role involves project leadership, client and business development, and team management. The director is responsible for account growth and profitability, collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and clients to ensure effective, compliant, and impactful campaigns.

Must Have

  • Act as lead contact for global clients and brands, ensuring strong, proactive relationships.
  • Apply strategic thinking to deliver against client objectives and lead key strategic workstreams.
  • Adapt communication style for diverse internal and external audiences, including senior stakeholders.
  • Understand agency operations to build robust omnichannel Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Manage a significant annual revenue target and contribute to agency profitability.
  • Grow account value through organic opportunities and value-added services.
  • Lead new business pitches in collaboration with agency teams to drive growth.
  • Work independently with client services team to deliver global omnichannel campaigns.
  • Support senior leadership on new business opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering their development through formal and informal guidance.
  • 10-15 years of creative agency experience.
  • Line management responsibilities for a large client services team.
  • Experience leading clients at a global level across various timezones.
  • Evidence working across creative, digital and production disciplines.
  • Native/bilingual English proficiency is essential.

Good to Have

  • Healthcare experience is extremely beneficial.

About the role:

The Account Director is responsible for the growth and profitability of their accounts, working collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and clients to ensure effective, compliant, and impactful campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management

  • Act as the lead contact for a portfolio of global clients and brands, ensuring strong, proactive, and solution-focused relationships.
  • Apply strategic thinking to deliver against client objectives.
  • Lead key strategic workstreams, including client workshops.
  • Adapt communication style for diverse internal and external audiences, including senior stakeholders.

Commercial

  • Understand agency operations to build robust omnichannel Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Manage a significant annual revenue target, supporting your team to meet monthly objectives and contributing to agency profitability.
  • Grow account value through organic opportunities and value-added services.
  • Lead new business pitches in collaboration with agency teams to drive growth.

Agency

  • Work independently with your client services team to deliver global omnichannel campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Support senior leadership on new business opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering their development through both formal and informal guidance

Skills & Experience

  • Creative agency experience 10–15 years
  • Healthcare experience extremely beneficial but not mandatory
  • Line management responsibilities for a large client services team
  • Leading clients at a global level across various timezones
  • Evidence working across creative, digital and production disciplines
  • Travel may be required (travel restrictions will be adhered to)
  • Native/bilingual English is essential due to the international nature of the business
