As the Field Services-EHS Specialist in the Biogas, Food and beverage, Carbon capture industry, you will be responsible for leading the Environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and the community. You will develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and training programs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate EHS risks associated with electrical power operations and functional system testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
- Lead the development and delivery of EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders to raise awareness of hazards, promote safe work practices, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and assessments to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate potential EHS incidents.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to assess the EHS implications of electrical power projects, equipment, and processes, and incorporate EHS considerations into design and operational plans.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses for EHS incidents, near misses, and injuries, and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage EHS reporting requirements, including recordkeeping, data analysis, and submission of regulatory reports to relevant authorities.
- Monitor emerging EHS regulations, trends, and technologies in the electrical power industry, and recommend and implement proactive measures to address evolving EHS risks and requirements.
- Provide EHS guidance and support to management, supervisors, and employees to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and assessments to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate potential EHS incidents.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, occupational health and safety, engineering, or related field.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or other relevant professional certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management roles in the field service industry or related heavy industry sectors.
- Thorough understanding of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to electrical power operations, including OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and ANSI requirements.
- Understanding Dutch VCA program
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety principles, hazards, and controls, including lockout/tagout, arc flash, and electrical equipment safety.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of successfully leading EHS programs, initiatives, and projects, and driving continuous improvement in EHS performance.
- Experience with EHS management systems, software, and tools for data management, analysis, and reporting.
