About This Role
As Shop Technician II (Fabricator), you have a special opportunity to come in at the ground floor and provide incredible objects to customers all over the country while fighting climate change at scale. You’ll be a key part of daily operations at our East Coast manufacturing facility, responsible for efficient craftsmanship and high-quality production. We’re looking for a hands-on, curious, and adaptable doer who will contribute on Day 1.
What You’ll Do Here
- Support the Senior Shop Manager with Fabrication related tasks
- Operate woodshop tools and millwork equipment such as table saws, planers, sanders, gang rips, and jointers to process raw boards into finished goods.
- Pull material and organize builds to keep production flowing efficiently.
- Deliver high-quality finished products by meticulously overseeing all production stages from rough cut to final specification.
- Follow safety protocols, daily task lists, and standard operating procedures to maintain a clean and hazard-free shop.
- Manage R&D and prototyping tasks by fabricating product samples or components based on provided specs or mockups.
- Contribute to a team culture that values hustle, consistency, and accountability.
- Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of tools and equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
Your Skill Sets and Capabilities Include
- You have 2-3 years minimum with shop tools and industrial equipment, and comfortable in a woodshop or factory environment.
- Experience using the following shop tools: Jointer, Table-Saw, and a Planer.
- Molder experience a plus; experience operating a molder or similar profiling equipment is highly valued.
- You are able to read and interpret shop and architectural drawings.
- You prioritize safety and follow protocols consistently.
- You move with urgency and stay focused in high-output environments.
- You have a willingness to learn and solve problems in real time.
- You produce high-quality work and spot issues before they become problems.
- You follow through on tasks, communicate clearly, and take pride in doing your part well.
- You’re a reliable teammate who contributes to shop rhythm and morale—no ego, just good work.
- You’re detail-oriented when handling one-off or custom builds, and able to follow prototyping instructions precisely.
- Forklift Certification preferred
- DOT Certification preferred

- Salary Range: 55-65K
