Job Description

This internship at Thales' RADAR Competence Center in Elancourt focuses on developing and fine-tuning airborne radars. The intern will join the Combat Engineering Hub to evaluate new AI-based engineering tools to enhance efficiency and develop add-ons for multi-engineering management. The role aims to improve team effectiveness, provide insights for progress, and evolve development practices within an ambitious and stimulating environment.
Must Have:
  • Deploy and evaluate 1 to 2 new AI-based tools on a reduced scope in collaboration with end-users.
  • Design and deploy a supervision tool for Agile team development flows.
  • Bac +4/5 education.
  • Interest in IT.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Curiosity to develop skills on complex products (like a 'Radar').

Your daily life

At the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales' most important technological centers of excellence. The diversity and technicality of the systems and equipment mobilize expertise in more than 80 professions in defense, high-tech security, and digital services solutions.

Within the RADAR Competence Center of the Defense Mission Systems activity, we develop and fine-tune airborne radars for combat and surveillance aircraft. You will be welcomed within the Combat Engineering Hub, allowing you to discover professions in the Integration and Verification of complex systems.

To support our development, we are looking for an intern eager to evaluate new AI-based engineering tools to improve our efficiency and to develop add-ons for our workshops to enhance our multi-engineering management.

This approach is part of an initiative to:

  • Help teams work more efficiently
  • Provide teams with information to better understand their strengths and weaknesses in order to progress
  • Develop our development practices and methods

By joining us, you will be entrusted with the following missions:

  • You will be responsible for deploying and evaluating 1 to 2 new AI-based tools within a reduced scope to determine their relevance in collaboration with end-users.
  • You will design and deploy a supervision tool for Agile team development flows.

Your profile

With a Bac +4/5 education, do you wish to start an internship from April 2026 within a dynamic company?

Do you have an interest in IT?

Do you master Python?

Will you demonstrate curiosity to develop skills on complex products (like a "Radar")?

Do you enjoy teamwork and interacting with a varied ecosystem?

Naturally curious, do you also know how to work autonomously on your missions by using internal resources and collaborators?

All our internships are formalized by an agreement and subject to remuneration, the amount of which is determined according to your level of study. The position may require access to information related to national defense secrecy; the selected person will undergo a security clearance procedure, in accordance with the provisions of articles R.2311-1 et seq. of the Defense Code and IGI 1300 SGDSN/PSE of August 09, 2021.
