Subject: Construction and statistical analysis on reference populations
As part of a consortium, Dassault Systèmes' "Precision Biology for Lifesciences & Healthcare" organization develops software prototypes to support the transformation of medical practices based on the use of virtual twins.
Within this organization, the NeuroTwin team is specifically responsible for developing technologies, algorithms, user experience, and data models for diagnostic, prognostic, and monitoring applications in clinical neurology. The pathologies addressed include neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's, vascular dementias) and epilepsy.
In the context of dementia diagnosis and monitoring, various biomarkers extracted from multiple imaging modalities are often of interest. To facilitate analysis and increase practitioner confidence in using the proposed biomarkers, these are presented consistently with those extracted from reference populations (e.g., healthy populations and populations affected by dementias).
To achieve this, several complementary approaches are necessary, such as: homogenization of imaging parameters or taking into account characteristics such as age, sex, education level, etc.
