Job Summary
We are looking for a Fluids Simulation Intern to join the South East Europe SIMULIA technical sales team. After training on SIMULIA's Fluids portfolio (PowerFLOW, XFlow, RANS code), the intern will handle the complete simulation process from geometry model build-up to execution, results analysis, and technical report preparation. The role focuses on innovative applications for key industries, aiming for proficient use of SIMULIA codes and understanding underlying physics. Creativity is encouraged to propose solutions to engineering challenges.
Must Have
- Learn the SIMULIA portfolio for Fluids (PowerFLOW, XFlow and/or RANS code)
- Experience the complete process from geometry model build-up to simulation execution, results analysis and technical reports preparation
- Propose simulation solutions to engineering challenges
- Validation and deployment of new methodologies, or improvement of existing ones for increased accuracy
- Development and implementation of more streamlined and automated simulation processes
- Delivery of simulation value to customers through the execution of Proof-of-Concepts
- Currently studying for or having a degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Computational Eng. or related field
- Solid knowledge of applied Fluid Dynamics
- Knowledge of MS Office package, basic knowledge of Linux
- Proficient knowledge of English
- Problem-solving, analytical and critical mindset, very responsive, proactive and team-player attitude, efficient work organization
- Enthusiasm and determination to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused work environment, excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Italian language
- Strong interest in Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics and/or Aeroacoustics
- Prior exposure in Automotive, Aerospace or Offroad Industry
- Practical knowledge of industrial CFD applications (ideally PowerFLOW)
- Experience with common CAD and meshing tools (CATIA, ANSA, Hypermesh)
- Scripting (Python, Excel Macros) and/or programming skills

Fluids Simulation Intern (m/f/d)
Are you searching for an exciting internship in a multinational company? We are currently looking for a Fluids Simulation Intern, who’ll be part of a group of young engineers forming the South East Europe SIMULIA technical sales team, in charge of all technical pre-sales customer engagements, as well as of taking care of the existing SIMULIA customer base.
Responsibilities
After an initial training-on-the-job to learn the SIMULIA portfolio for Fluids (PowerFLOW, XFlow and/or RANS code), in your daily work you will experience the complete process from the geometry model build-up to the simulation execution, results analysis and technical reports preparation. The internship is going to focus on innovative applications for the key industries we serve. You will reach proficient usage of at least one of the SIMULIA codes and you will have the chance to understand the underlying physics. Your creativity and critical sense will be required to propose simulation solutions to engineering challenge. Typical tasks will be as follows:
- Validation and deployment of new methodologies, or improvement of existing ones for increased accuracy
- Development and implementation of more streamlined and automated simulation processes
- Delivery of simulation value to customers through the execution of Proof-of-Concepts
The exact assignments will be determined at the beginning of the internship.
Qualifications
- Currently studying for or having a degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Computational Eng. or related field
- Solid knowledge of applied Fluid Dynamics and knowledge of MS Office package, basic knowledge of Linux
- Strong interest in Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics and/or Aeroacoustics
- Proficient knowledge of English and Italian (optional) languages
- Problem-solving, analytical and critical mindset, very responsive, proactive and team-player attitude, efficient work organization
- Enthusiasm and determination to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused work environment, excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Prior exposure in Automotive, Aerospace or Offroad Industry is an asset
- Practical knowledge of industrial CFD applications (ideally PowerFLOW) and experience with common CAD and meshing tools (CATIA, ANSA, Hypermesh)
- Scripting (Python, Excel Macros) and/or programming skills could be a big plus
