About the role

We are looking for an IP & Data Transaction Counsel to join our exciting team! 

• Collaborate with the data and product teams to provide pragmatic legal guidance on potential data transactions.

• Draft, negotiate, and close media data acquisition deals. 

• Engage and negotiate with rightsholder collectives. 

• Help the commercial legal team draft, negotiate, and close commercial agreements.

What you bring

• Located in the U.S. or U.K. 

• Have 6+ years of tech, in-house, or media entertainment legal experience. 

• Strong experience with intellectual property law in the US, UK, and EU. 

• Strong experience with media, book publishing, or music license agreements. 

• Experience in negotiating deals as the sole attorney. 

• Strong background in technology, including experience and familiarity with AI or a demonstrated interest in AI. 

• Can write clearly and concisely, able to distill complex concepts into simple, explainable, and persuasive ideas. 

• Cross-border experience, particularly in the US, UK, and EU countries. Dual-qualified is a plus.
