IT Project Manager

Randstad's Digital division is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead cross-functional projects within the banking domain. The role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring technical solutions meet business needs, overseeing vendor management, and preparing status reports. The manager will also identify and mitigate risks, drive continuous improvement in project governance, and ensure compliance with financial industry standards. A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving is essential.

Must Have

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional projects within the banking domain, ensuring alignment with business strategy, compliance, and technology architecture.
• Manage project lifecycle activities: scope, resource planning, timelines, risk assessment, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure technical solutions meet financial and operational needs.
• Oversee vendor and third-party management, ensuring deliverables and budgets are met.
• Prepare and present status updates, executive reports, and steering committee materials.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and constraints proactively.
• Drive continuous improvement in project governance, agile/hybrid delivery models, and cross-team collaboration.
• Ensure all initiatives comply with regulatory and security standards relevant to the financial industry.
• Demonstrate a proactive and collaborative attitude in problem-solving

Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects in the finance, banking, or fintech sectors.
• Proven track record in technology-driven initiatives (e.g., system integrations, digital banking platforms, data migrations, or core banking implementations).
• Solid understanding of financial products and operational processes.
• Strong technical acumen — ability to discuss architecture, APIs, integrations, and data models with developers.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (business analysts, developers, testers, external vendors).
