Job Summary

We are seeking an outstanding, passionate, and resilient SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team permanently at our specialist school in Cranleigh, Surrey. This role focuses on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Must Have

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to specific SEMH and learning needs.
  • Develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track pupil progress.
  • Utilise expertise in behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff, directing their work effectively.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, parents/carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum and overall school ethos.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Demonstrably experienced in teaching pupils with SEN, particularly SEMH needs.
  • Highly skilled at adapting the curriculum to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Resilient, reflective, and committed to continuous professional development.
  • Proactive and skilled in positive behaviour management and de-escalation.
  • Able to build strong, trusting, and professional relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
