General Summary:
1. Design , Develop , deploy and maintain API Proxies using Apigee Hybrid and Apigee X
2. Implement API proxies , shared flows , custom policies using Javascript.
3. Ensure secure communication using OAuth2 , JWT , mTLS , OKTA , Basic Auth
4. Manage API versioning , developer portals and apply API Governance best practices.
5. Familiar with OpenAPI/Swagger specs and API documentation/
6. Understanding of cloud platforms (GCP and AWS) and kubernetes.
7. Implement traffic management , quotas , caching strategies using Apigee Policies.
8. Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup for API deployments using GitHub Actions.
9. Monitor API Performance and apply tuning where necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).1. 4-6 years of API development and API management in API
2. 4+ hands-on experience with Apigee Hybrid or Apigee X
3. Experience in managing Apigee in multi region setups.
4. Strong expertise in REST API standards and design.
5. Proficiency in OAuth2 , JWT , TLS/mTLS and traffic managmenent policies
6. Good understanding in Kubernetes , YAML , Helm
7. Familiarty with cloud platforms (AWS and GCP)
8. Good understanding in APIGEE components (runtime and management plane)
Soft Skills:
1. Strong problem solving and debugging skills
2. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder interaction.
3. Ability to work with cross functional teams.
4. Must be able to work with other team members around the globe (US, Europe...), to provide required support (sometime during early morning and evening hours).
