Job Description

The ITSS Service Engineer will be responsible for the engineering, development, testing, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of mobile endpoint devices and their management services within a global enterprise. This includes providing technical support for Android, iOS, and Zebra endpoints, and managing Client Engineering services such as Intune, Entra (Azure), CrashPlan, CrowdStrike, and Android/iOS/Zebra operating systems. Key responsibilities involve supporting automated device provisioning, packaging software, configuring and deploying policies, assisting in installations and maintenance, monitoring deployments, handling escalated incidents, and creating detailed documentation. The role requires a deep understanding of endpoint management and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively. The candidate will work collaboratively to enhance mobile endpoint security and usability.
Must have:

The ideal candidate will actively engage in the engineering, development, testing, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of mobile endpoint devices and their corresponding management services within a global enterprise. This individual will contribute to enhancing eBay's mobile endpoint security and usability, working collaboratively under established guidelines.

Essential Job Responsibilities: 

The professional in this role will be tasked with delivering robust technical support for Android, iOS and Zebra endpoints as well as managing Client Engineering services related to technologies such as Intune, Entra (Azure), CrashPlan, CrowdStrike, and Android/iOS/Zebra operating systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support for automated device provisioning services, predominantly with Intune.

  • Packaging third-party and native Android/iOS/Zebra software for deployment in scenarios involving new installations, upgrades, and patching.

  • Configuring and deploying Android/iOS/Zebra policies and baselines aligned with Information Security standards.

  • Assisting in installations, upgrades, and maintenance of endpoint management services.

  • Monitoring all endpoint deployments to assure quality and adherence to SLA commitments.

  • Handling escalated incidents from helpdesk staff regarding Client Engineering services, with advanced troubleshooting to resolve complex issues on Android/iOS/Zebra endpoints.

  • Facilitating the management of incident/request tickets in the Client Engineering queue.

  • Crafting and maintaining detailed documentation for end-users, support teams, process flows, and reporting related to Client Engineering systems.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in desktop support, with expertise in troubleshooting modern Android, iOS and Zebra devices within an enterprise setting.

  • At least 5 years of experience in supporting and troubleshooting various endpoint management technologies, including but not limited to Intune or comparable MDM products, and Azure AD/Active Directory.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to peers and management.

  • Proficiency in logical thinking and analysis regarding application and business process requirements.

  • Experience in user-focused technical support environments.

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, computer science, or an equivalent educational background and experience combination.
