Job Summary

The IVVQ Engineer will join the Engineering Competence Center France, focusing on space applications for the IRIS² program. This role involves the integration, verification, validation, and qualification of complex equipment (OBP), ensuring compliance with standards. Key responsibilities include designing IVVQ plans, collaborating with development teams, elaborating test scenarios, performing and analyzing tests, documenting processes, and contributing to continuous improvement of IVVQ methods.

Must Have

  • Design integration, verification, validation, and qualification plans.

  • Significant experience in system integration, verification, validation, and qualification.
  • Expertise in digital and analog electronics (microcontrollers, FPGAs, ASICs).
  • Knowledge of RF measurements and signal processing.
  • Proficiency in Python development and measurement instrumentation control.
  • Mastery of activity management tools: Orchestra, Vivaldi, DOORS, Polarion.

Your daily life

The Toulouse Champollion site brings together activities in satellite system engineering, payload design and manufacturing, ground segment development and qualification. It includes a research center and an industrial accelerator for startups and ventures, as well as activities dedicated to low-temperature science, specifically the development and production of micromechanical coolers for demanding markets.

Thales Alenia Space plays a major industrial role in the IRIS² project by contributing to technical design, payload manufacturing, and program governance, as a Core Team Member of the SpaceRISE consortium. Within the Engineering Competence Center France (at the heart of the Thales group's engineering, the ECC France brings together 250 engineers across 5 sites in system, software, hardware, and digital disciplines), we are looking for an IVVQ Engineer to join our team dedicated to space applications.

In this context, and in close collaboration with the IVVQ department of the Hardware Electronic Competence Center France (CCHEF), you will be responsible for the Integration, Verification, Validation, and Qualification of complex equipment (OBP) within the IRIS² program, ensuring its compliance with current standards and regulations.

By joining our team of 30 RF and electronics experts, your main missions will be:

  • Design integration, verification, validation, and qualification plans based on project objectives, technical specifications, and requirements;
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure optimal integration of the system's various components;
  • Develop test scenarios and validation procedures compliant with defined specifications;
  • Perform integration, verification, and validation tests, analyze results, and identify problems to provide effective solutions;
  • Rigorously document integration, verification, and validation processes to ensure complete traceability;
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of IVVQ methods and processes.

Your profile:

Do you have excellent communication skills and a true collaborative spirit to coordinate IVVQ activities and work within a multidisciplinary team?

Do you appreciate complexity and problem-solving?

You have a BAC+5 degree in engineering (electronics, software, or other related field) and notably possess:

  • Significant experience in system integration, verification, validation, and qualification;
  • Expertise in digital and analog electronics (microcontrollers, FPGAs, ASICs), as well as knowledge in RF measurements and signal processing;
  • Skills in Python development and control of measurement instrumentation;
  • Mastery of activity management tools such as Orchestra, Vivaldi, DOORS, and Polarion.
