Job Summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced Java + AWS Developer with 9 to 12 years of experience for a permanent role. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in Java SE & EE, Spring frameworks, RESTful API development, and testing with JUnit/Mockito. Proficiency in AWS core services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and API Gateway is essential, along with knowledge of AWS deployment, security, monitoring, and logging tools. This role involves applying scientific methods to software engineering problems and contributing to the development, maintenance, and optimization of software solutions.

Must Have

  • Strong Java SE & EE knowledge (OOP, Collections, Generics, Multithreading).
  • Proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Git for CI/CD.
  • Experience with JUnit, Mockito for testing.
  • Knowledge of AWS Core Services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch).
  • Understanding of AWS Deployment (Elastic Beanstalk, ECS/EKS, CloudFormation/Terraform).
  • Knowledge of AWS Security (IAM roles, policies, encryption, VPC).
  • Experience with AWS Monitoring & Logging (CloudWatch, CloudTrail).
  • 9-12 years of software engineering experience.

  • Java SE & EE: Strong understanding of OOP, Collections, Generics, Exception Handling, Multithreading.
  • Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate.
  • APIs: RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Build & CI/CD: Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Git.
  • Testing: JUnit, Mockito.

AWS (Secondary Skill) – 30%

  • Core Services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch.
  • Deployment & Infrastructure: Elastic Beanstalk, ECS/EKS, CloudFormation/Terraform (basic understanding).
  • Security: IAM roles, policies, encryption, VPC basics.
  • Monitoring & Logging: CloudWatch, CloudTrail'

Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications.

2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance.

3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.

4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities.

5. The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.
