Job Description

The Junior Localization Specialist will assist the Localization Producer and Specialist in formatting and organizing assets for localization, including dialogue and audio. They will collaborate with the Localization Specialist to understand the game and project scope, perform validation checks, and conduct daily smoke tests to identify and flag localization bugs. This role requires a passion for video games, attention to detail, proficiency in Excel, proactive problem-solving skills, adaptability, determination, and a strong command of English. The candidate will also need to learn and improve continuously within the company's tools and industry practices. Good communication and collaboration skills are essential to this position.
Must have:

Job Description

Your daily tasks:

  • Assisting the Localization Producer and Localization Specialist in formatting and organizing assets to be localized and adapted (dialogue, audio, etc.) for every market the game will be released in.
  • Partnering with the Localization Specialist to understand the overall game and the project scope.
  • Validation checks of different types of localization assets.
  • Playing our games a lot!
  • Performing daily smoke tests to help the team anticipate, identify and flag localization bugs.

Qualifications

  • Passion for video games.
  • A keen eye for details.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Proactivity and initiative to solve problems without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Determination and persistence when facing obstacles.
  • Eagerness to learn and improve continuously within our tools, techniques, and industry practices.
  • Very good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good command of English (B2 or higher).

Nice to have:

  • Experience in commercial projects related to games.
  • Knowledge of VBA or Python.
  • Knowledge of any other foreign language at a medium or native level would be a plus.
