Job Description
Company description
As a Junior Manager IT Audit, the basis of your profession is that you, with your knowledge and leadership qualities, are able to play a connecting role between clients and your colleagues. You are a key figure within our Technology Risk Assurance team. You guide all kinds of IT assurance assignments - in audit, assurance or advisory form - focused on complex IT environments at our clients and work closely with your team to achieve high-quality results. Especially with your solution-oriented approach, you succeed in this for all your clients, regardless of the complexity of the case.
Did you know that at BDO you can work with different client segments? For example, you can focus on the profit sector (e.g., Financial or Tech) and serve clients in the public domain (e.g., Healthcare or Government).
You make a difference by guiding your colleagues in the team. You also take and bear responsibility for the work and performance of others within the team. You report periodically to management and/or the client on the progress and outcomes of ongoing investigations. You organize and monitor your own tasks and those of others within the assignment team and adjust when necessary. You also support accountants in checking relevant IT systems for the annual accounts audit and manage teams in these investigations. Always independent, and based on the latest tools, methods and techniques. The Technology Risk Assurance department consists of more than 120 colleagues and has great growth ambitions.
Job description
Of course, you don't just want to work anywhere. You want to contribute. Be able to pay attention to what you really care about. Make a difference. For customers. Society. And for the people around you. It's possible at BDO. In fact, with us you have the power to make a real impact together with clients. Not alone. But together with more than 3,000 driven colleagues and as part of a worldwide network.
Our BDO office in Alkmaar breathes a typical North Holland atmosphere, with close-knit teams and regional clients. The hospitable reception and regular coffee and tea rounds contribute to the pleasant working atmosphere. Highlights such as the BDO football tournament strengthen the mutual bond.
This is how you add value
You want to be seen. For who you are. For what you can do and in what you can grow. We are therefore interested in who you are and what you can do. What degree of customer focus do you bring? How do we see your ambition reflected in your work? In addition, for this position it is important that you have:
- a completed HBO or WO education supplemented (or in progress) with a (post)master RE or RA;
- at least 4 years of relevant work experience within IT Audit or a comparable field;
- strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities and monitor progress;
- excellent communication skills, both towards the team and towards clients.
Real value is more than money
At BDO you can count on a salary that matches what you do and what you can do. Add to this (based on 40 hours per week):
- guidance by a permanent senior colleague and coaching for questions about, for example, time management, leadership, development or work-life balance;
- a lease car;
- 22 vacation days + 10 flexible days per calendar year. Do you want even more free time? In consultation, you can buy extra flexible days;
- a bonus scheme.
Come work at BDO and go for real value
