Job Description

Sika is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to manage the planning, coordination, and execution of sales programs for assigned accounts. This role involves developing annual and three-year strategic sales plans, assisting with budget development, and achieving sales, EBIT, and growth objectives. The manager will also prepare presentations, ensure effective customer service, and optimize growth opportunities, particularly with Japanese OEM customers, while incorporating problem-solving and consultative selling skills.

Must Have:
  • Develop annual and three-year strategic sales plans for assigned accounts
  • Assist in the development of annual budget and action plans for assigned accounts
  • Achieve sales goals, EBIT objectives, and growth objectives on an annual basis
  • Prepare and present formal and informal presentations and seminars supporting customer requirements
  • Ensure effective management and resolution of customer service issues including invoicing, re-bills, debits/credits
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required (preferably in business or engineering field)
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible sales experience with a proven track record in achieving specific goals
  • Proven record of creativity, innovation, sales growth, and significant achievement
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and time management skills
  • Quantitative skills
  • Ensure customer specific activities are consistent with Automotive Unit Sales
  • Deliver sales presentations to clients
  • Execute agreed upon sales strategy
  • Incorporate core competencies including problem solving, consultative selling
  • Proven experience handling Honda or other Japanese OEM customers, with a strong understanding of Japanese business culture and relationship management

Responsibilities & Opportunities

  • Develop annual and three year strategic sales plans for assigned accounts
  • Assist in the development of annual budget and action plans for assigned accounts
  • Achieve sales goals, EBIT objectives and growth objectives on an annual basis
  • Prepare and present formal and informal presentations and seminars supporting the customer’s requirements
  • Insure effective management and resolution of issues related to customer service responsibilities including invoicing, re-bills, debits/credits
  • Customer response effectiveness
  • Perform special projects and other duties as required by the Director and VP of Sales

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, preferably in business or engineering field
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible sales experience in which the candidate must have demonstrated a proven track record in achieving specific goals.

  • Familiarity with adhesives, sealants or acoustics in the automotive industry preferred
