What We Need

Share Development Studios, 2K’s world-class in-house central resource agency, is looking for a Lead Concept Artist to guide and grow a high-performing concept art team that supports our portfolio of AAA games. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining project quality and ensuring the well-being of team members as they work across our entire portfolio.

Our concept team is instrumental in shaping the art vision for our partner projects— helping generate stunning ideas and supporting other teams across the pipeline through strong visual thinking.

The ideal candidate brings strong artistic judgment, a people-first and mentoring approach, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to a wide range of visual styles and pipelines in a constantly evolving industry. This role is pivotal in developing the next generation of game content-creation.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage, mentor and act as a multiplier for a team of top-tier concept artists, distributed across several projects.
  • Encourage and facilitate the development of a significant knowledge base in others to guide their career development and progression.
  • Drive vision and collaborate with Production and Art Direction to organically coordinate the work of our concept artists.
  • Communicate actively with Leads, Directors, and other teams across the pipeline (Design, Modeling, VFX, Animation and other areas).
  • Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to artists at all levels. You will help us boosting our collaborative team dynamics where ideas and pieces move between artists to support learning and shared ownership.
  • Partner with Art Management to ensure the team remains healthy and continues to grow.
  • Maintain an inclusive environment and thriving team culture.
  • Help creating outstanding concept art — including characters, environments, props, among others — across a wide variety of styles and projects.

What Will Make You A Great Fit

  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
  • Solid understanding of concept art fundamentals such as design, composition, noise distribution, shape language, visual storytelling - and how these directly support and enhance gameplay needs.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates good eye, creative thinking, and an understanding of the needs and constraints of other production departments.
  • Demonstrated solutions-based approach and problem-solving skills applied to sophisticated challenges across multidisciplinary teams — using concept art as a tool to explore ideas, align vision, and unblock creative or production bottlenecks.
  • Skilled at helping your team work well and feel comfortable in a fast-paced, creative, and collaborative environment, adhering to timelines.
  • Values keeping a safe and open environment for all team members to build camaraderie and bolster creativity.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and iterate on artistic ideas quickly.
  • Able to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish.
