What We Need
2K is looking for an experienced and strategic Executive Producer to join our Publishing team.
You will collaborate with one of our exceptional studios to drive cross-functional alignment and ensure excellence in both product development and publishing, delivering a new high-quality, genre-defining entry within one of 2K's most iconic and beloved franchises.
Reporting to the Vice President of Publishing, you will guide the studio and the game through key milestones leading to launch and post-launch operations. Success in this role relies on your deep production expertise as well as your ability to influence product strategy, build trust, and achieve results through strong partnership and close collaboration.
As the game's spokesperson within 2K and a key advocate for the studio, you will ensure creative vision aligns with business objectives, while guaranteeing a memorable player experience that lays the groundwork for the franchise's long-term success. You will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and other Publishing teams to connect product and franchise strategy with the execution of commercialization plans.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and people-oriented leader, comfortable in a cross-functional environment, capable of clarifying complexity, and determined to aim for the highest quality standards.
What You Will Do
- Industry & Product Expertise - Collaborate closely with the studio to define and maintain a strong product vision, based on player needs, product/market fit, and high-quality execution. Leverage player insights, market research, and competitive analysis to guide strategy and fuel long-term planning. Work in concert with Marketing, Sales, and Product Management teams to launch industry-leading titles that ensure both player satisfaction and the lasting success of the franchise, the studio, and 2K.
- Judgment & Decision Making - Act as a 'command center' for titles, orchestrating key decisions alongside the studio and publishing teams, constantly balancing product quality, business objectives, and development constraints. Oversee P&L, guide strategic trade-offs, and mobilize resources for maximum impact. Adopt a proactive and data-driven approach to risk management, ensuring each title reaches its full creative and commercial potential.
- Leadership - Support the studio in consistently and structuredly achieving key development milestones, ensuring constant alignment with vision, deliverables, and success criteria. Drive ambitious cross-functional initiatives aimed at raising collective standards and fostering continuous improvement. Coach and empower a high-performing production team, driven by excellence, commitment, and a results-oriented culture.
- Building Trusting Relationships - Establish and cultivate a strong, trust-based partnership with the studio and cross-functional publishing teams. Position yourself as a strategic advisor and thought partner to development teams, ensuring perfect consistency between creative direction, market needs, player expectations, and business objectives. Navigate organizational complexity with empathy and influence, defusing friction points and uniting teams around a common mission: launching games that resonate, perform, and endure.
- Communication - Represent the studio and its titles within 2K, embodying their vision with clarity and conviction at all levels of the organization. Synthesize progress, risks, and strategic issues into clear and impactful narratives that align stakeholders and build confidence. Adapt the message according to the context — whether to mobilize teams, inform executives, or facilitate quick and effective decision-making across disciplines.
- Player Orientation - Be the uncompromising spokesperson for players at every stage of the product lifecycle. Maintain a deep understanding of audience needs and motivations, and integrate player feedback, data, and insights into core development decisions. Ensure that every feature, every content highlight, and every player touchpoint contributes to an engaging, memorable, and long-term impactful experience for the franchise.
- Quality Standards - Embody an uncompromising level of quality across the entire product — from gameplay to performance, from polish to post-launch services. Define and pursue ambitious quality objectives, informed by player expectations, combining creative audacity and operational feasibility. Collaborate closely with the studio, QA teams, and functional partners to anticipate risks, resolve problems, and ensure an exceptional gaming experience, worthy of industry recognition and lasting impact.
