Job Summary
GameDistrict is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to manage data analysis operations, lead analytical projects, and deliver data-driven insights for business strategy. This role involves guiding the analytics team, optimizing processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and analyzing complex datasets to provide clear business recommendations to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will ensure data quality and drive reporting automation.
Must Have
- Lead and manage the data analytics team, providing direction, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Develop, implement, and optimize data analysis processes, dashboards, and reporting systems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Engineering) to understand data requirements.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Translate analytical findings into clear business recommendations for senior leadership.
- Oversee data quality, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness across systems.
- Design and maintain KPI frameworks and reporting standards.
- Drive automation of reporting and data workflows.
- Stay updated with industry trends, data tools, and best practices, recommending upgrades or adoption of new technologies.
- Support strategic planning through forecasting, modeling, and scenario analysis.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, with at least 2-3 years in a lead role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
- Expertise in statistical analysis, data modeling, and predictive analytics.
- Experience working with databases, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and project management abilities.
- Experience with big data technologies.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts.
- Experience in Agile workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
