Brillio is seeking a highly skilled and consultative Lead Data Engineer with deep experience in Data Warehousing and Informatica to lead data integration initiatives for a Life Science practice. The role involves leading the design, development, and optimization of ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and IICS, architecting high-performance, scalable solutions on Snowflake Data Warehouse, and designing robust data models. The Lead Data Engineer will act as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, driving insights and business outcomes through data, and partnering with line-of-business leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities for data engineering to deliver measurable value. Responsibilities include leading a team of data engineers, translating unstructured problems into scalable data solutions, delivering presentations, and ensuring alignment between technical delivery and business value realization.
Must have:
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering and ETL
  • Hands-on expertise in Informatica (PowerCenter and IICS)
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with performance tuning
  • Proven experience designing and optimizing solutions in Snowflake
  • Strong foundation in data warehouse design (dimensional modeling)
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated consultative mindset
  • Experience writing business process and technical documentation
  • Strong project management, organization, and team leadership skills
Good to have:
  • Prior experience in pharma domain (IQVIA, Komodo, VEEVA datasets)
  • SnowPro certification

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and consultative Lead Data Engineer with deep experience in Data Warehousing and Informatica to lead data integration initiatives for a Life Science practice within Brillio. This role is ideal for someone who not only excels technically but thrives as a thought partner to business stakeholders, helping to uncover opportunities for value creation through data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and IICS
  • Architect high-performance, scalable solutions on Snowflake Data Warehouse
  • Design robust data models with strong understanding of facts and dimensions
  • Act as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, using data to drive insights and business outcomes
  • Partner with line-of-business leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities where data engineering can deliver measurable value
  • Lead a team of data engineers through complex integration efforts with a problem-solving attitude
  • Translate unstructured problems into structured, scalable data solutions
  • Deliver high-quality business presentations and solution documentation tailored to technical and executive audiences
  • Ensure alignment between technical delivery and business value realization
  • Optimize performance through effective data modeling, partitioning, and indexing.
  • Lead data migration and integration projects to move legacy data systems to Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver data solutions.

  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering and ETL, with hands-on expertise in Informatica (PowerCenter and IICS)
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with performance tuning
  • Proven experience designing and optimizing solutions in Snowflake
  • Strong foundation in data warehouse design, with a focus on dimensional modeling
  • Prior experience in pharma domain with exposure to IQVIA, Komodo, and VEEVA datasets – strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated consultative mindset, capable of influencing and leading cross-functional discussions on data-driven value generation
  • Experience writing business process and technical documentation
  • Strong project management, organization, and team leadership skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments with ambiguity and shifting priorities

  • Key Expectations:
  • Very strong SQL and Informatica (PowerCenter & IICS) capabilities
  • Deep understanding of Pharma datasets and commercial analytics
  • Proven consultative approach with ability to drive thought leadership and business impact
  • Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • Onsite at Plainsboro, NJ – 3 days onsite/week

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • SnowPro certification is highly desirable.
