Job Summary

P99soft is seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Developer with extensive experience in server-side software development and proficiency in J2EE frameworks such as Spring. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing microservices with Spring Boot, writing unit tests using JUnit, and strong SQL skills with experience in Oracle and MySQL databases. Additionally, familiarity with JDBC, ORM persistence technologies (JPA, Hibernate), Enterprise Application Servers like JBoss, and developing serverless applications using AWS Lambda would be considered advantageous for this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development and leadership experience in managing development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy server-side applications using Java and J2EE frameworks such as Spring.
• Utilize Spring Boot to design and implement microservices architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following best practices and coding standards.
• Develop and execute unit tests using JUnit to ensure the quality and reliability of the codebase.
• Work with SQL databases including Oracle and MySQL, writing complex queries and optimizing database performance.
• Implement data access using JDBC and ORM persistence technologies such as JPA and Hibernate.
• Deploy and manage applications on Enterprise Application Servers like JBoss.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions that meet business needs.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend improvements and optimizations to enhance the development process.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
• Lead a team of Java developers as an Individual Contributor (IC) in designing and developing applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Mentor and guide junior developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Java development.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and Hibernate.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Leadership and team management experience as an Individual Contributor (IC).
