Job Details
Pay rate: $24.50 Hr.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Lead Material Handler to join our Building and Finishing Duluth Team.
- Manage inventory, including pulling finished products, assembling orders, and preparing shipments according to company policy and customer requests.
- Receive and process inbound materials, including finished products from other locations, raw materials, and supplies, transferring them to appropriate storage locations.
- Operate forklifts to load/unload trucks and transport materials between departments and buildings, maintaining accurate logs of transferred materials.
- Train new employees and assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor, including prioritizing tasks, shift scheduling, and problem-solving.
- Verify completeness of materials against appropriate documents, check for damages, and maintain records of exceptions.
- Ensure work location compliance with company safety and housekeeping policies.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
Preferred Skills
Education: High school diploma or GED certificate.
Years Experience: 4-5 years experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment which must have included at least one year experience in forklift operation; ability to meet company training program requirements for certification for forklift license.
