Description
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Legal Counsel to join our Legal and Compliance Team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on exposure across multiple areas of law, particularly in corporate, intellectual property, technology, and data protection-related matters.
This is a key role, where you will be supporting the Group’s operations, helping ensure the Group remains compliant with an ever-changing legal and regulatory landscape. The role also offers a collaborative environment, where initiative is valued, and you will have access to ongoing training to further your knowledge, as well as opportunities to take ownership of projects and contribute to meaningful business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support across a wide range of matters, assisting the Legal and Compliance team with day-to-day operations and ongoing initiatives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including game provider, supplier, technology, marketing, and payment service provider (PSP) agreements.
- Assist with the management and protection of the Group’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademark registrations, renewals, and enforcement of IP rights, while supporting branding and marketing initiatives from a legal perspective.
- Support data protection and privacy compliance efforts, including reviewing data processing agreements, assisting with data subject requests, and ensuring ongoing adherence to GDPR and internal data governance policies.
- Support corporate, M&A and restructuring projects, including conducting legal due diligence, preparing corporate authorisations, and assisting with transaction execution and post-completion requirements.
- Contribute to effective corporate governance through the preparation and maintenance of board and committee materials, including agendas, resolutions, and minutes.
- Assist in dispute resolution and claims management, including player claims, contractual disputes, and litigation matters, in coordination with internal stakeholders and external counsel where required.
- Monitor, interpret, and advise on legislative and regulatory developments, assessing business impact, and providing commercially focussed legal guidance.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support collaboration.
Requirements
Qualities we are looking for:
- Minimum of 2-3 years post-qualification experience, gained in-house or at a reputable law firm, and qualified to practise in an EU jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in commercial law, intellectual property and privacy matters, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of contracts and policies.
- Excellent organisational skills, ownership, and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all deliverables while effectively managing competing priorities.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to identify legal risks, provide practical guidance, and implement effective measures.
- Collaborative and team-oriented, able to build positive relationships, communicate effectively across teams, and contribute to a supportive environment.
