Job Description

As Logistics Supervisor, you will cover the needs of manufacturing plants in North America (US, Mexico, Honduras) for material originating/destined from other countries. Your role involves analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing transportation modes like air and ocean, identifying cost-effective and timely methods. You will support crisis management, implement continuous improvement projects for resource optimization and savings, and ensure compliance with TMS, company, customer, and government policies, including customs certifications. You will also guarantee logistics service provider compliance with KPIs.
Must have:
  • Analyze, monitor, and optimize standard transportation modes (air/ocean).
  • Identify ideal transportation methods for cost and transit time.
  • Provide monitoring and resolution support in crisis management.
  • Implement continuous improvement projects for resource optimization and savings.
  • Monitor TMS (Transportation Management System) compliance.
  • Comply with company, customer, and government policies and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with customs certifications (US CTPAT, MX OEA).
  • Guarantee logistics service provider compliance under KPIs.
  • Execute cost-saving initiatives (e.g., optimize sea routes, change mode from Air to Ocean).
  • Monitor project execution based on global ocean and air bidding.
  • Monitor possible crisis management situations (weather, port congestion, strikes, security).
  • Assist with shipments from North America to other regions.

YOUR ROLE

As Logistics Supervisor on our team: The position is designed to cover the needs of manufacturing plants located in the North American region (United States, Mexico, Honduras) for material originating/destined from other countries/regions.

  • Includes analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing the different standard transportation modes such as air or ocean methods. Identifying the ideal method in cost & transit time.
  • Monitoring and resolution support in crisis management events.
  • Implement continuous improvement projects that provide optimization of resources and complement annual savings objectives.
  • Monitoring with TMS (Transportation Management System) compliance.
  • Comply with company, customer and government policies, regulations. Including those related to the customs section, US CTPAT or MX OEA certifications
  • Guarantee compliance by the logistics service provider under key performance indicators (KPI-Key Performance Indicators)

In your daily job you will:

  • Logistics Service Providers.
  • Execution of cost saving initiatives (optimize sea routes, change mode from Air to Ocean).
  • Monitor project execution Monitor implementation based on global ocean and air bidding (Ocean: FCL, LCL, CON/Air: P3/P4) or ocean consolidation centers. Monitor possible crisis management situations (weather, port congestion, port strikes, security situation).
  • TMS System (Transportation Management System).
  • Machinery and Equipment.
  • Trade Show Shipments.
  • Assistance with shipments from North America to other regions (Origin Based Design)
  • Be part of a work team that supports common results by complementing individual skills.
  • Continue to improve knowledge of work-related operations.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • Bachelor's degree terminated (Logistics Engineering or related)
  • English level advanced
  • Experience in the Logistics Area (minimum of 4 to 5 years)
  • Be a LEADER to guide teams to achieve excellence
  • Responsible and able to have flexibility (multiple project management)
  • Ability to write business reports and timely response from service providers Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form
