Job Description

The SMT Process Engineer will be responsible for organizing selected electronic component assembly (SMT) processes for current production and implementing new products. This includes participating in process design, continuous improvement of production processes for productivity, reliability, quality, and ergonomics, organizing production stations, managing process documentation, and training personnel. The role also involves contact with suppliers and R&D centers.
Good To Have:
  • Experience in the automotive or medical industry
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools confirmed by practical project implementation
Must Have:
  • Higher technical education (mechanics, electronics, machine construction, mechatronics or related)
  • Min. 2 years of experience in process engineering of electronic component assembly
  • Knowledge of technical drawing, including AutoCad and 3D drawing viewers
  • Experience in solder paste printing, surface mounting, reflow soldering, and vision systems (SPI/AOI/XRAY)
  • Communicative English
  • Participate in designing and implementing SMT processes for new products
  • Support current production in SMT processes
  • Continuously improve production processes for productivity, reliability, quality, and ergonomics
  • Organize production stations, including equipment specification, purchasing, installation, and validation
  • Manage process documentation and train personnel
  • Maintain contact with suppliers and R&D centers

Requirements:

  • Higher technical education, preferred profiles: mechanics, electronics, machine construction, mechatronics or related.
  • Knowledge of technical drawing, including operation of AutoCad and 3D drawing viewers.
  • Min. 2 years of experience in work related to process engineering of electronic component assembly (experience in the automotive or medical industry will be an additional asset).
  • Experience in technologies: solder paste printing, surface mounting of components, reflow soldering and vision systems (SPI/AOI/XRAY).
  • Communicative knowledge of English.
  • Communication skills, flexibility and problem-solving skills.
  • Task-oriented, responsibility, accuracy and good work organization.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools confirmed by practical project implementation will be an additional asset.

Your role:

You will be responsible for organizing selected electronic component assembly (SMT) processes for current production and implementing new products.

Your responsibilities will include, among others:

  • Participation in the design and implementation of the electronic component assembly process for new products and support for current production in this regard.
  • Continuous improvement of production processes in terms of productivity, reliability, quality and ergonomics.
  • Organization of production stations by specifying equipment, initiating the purchasing process, organizing installation and validation acceptance.
  • Management of process documentation and training of people involved in the process.
  • Contact with suppliers and R&D centers (including business trips).
