Maintenance trainee

Brief Job Summary: We are looking for a Maintenance Trainee to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in maintenance activities within our facility. This position provides valuable hands-on experience and exposure to the world of industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in performing routine preventive maintenance tasks such as changing oil, filters, fluids, etc.
• Helps in conducting safety inspections on equipment and machinery
• Performs simple repairs on equipment when needed
• Participates in the maintenance of tools and equipment used by other departments
• Assists in monitoring inventory levels of spare parts and supplies
• May help in troubleshooting issues with production equipment
• Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a relevant technical program or coursework related to industrial maintenance
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• Ability to work safely and adhere to safety protocols
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, reaching overhead, climbing stairs and ladders, and working at heights
